Can someone please ask @thepeoplespeaker a few, simple, questions about the government school choice bills he is supporting?
Former Speaker Tim Jones has very strong opinions on Government School Choice. He tends to get triggered on social media and lash out to anyone who has a differing opinion. Why?
This is Tim Jones. He is a former Speaker of the House in Missouri, who is now a political grifter being paid by unnamed, faceless, special interests who earn him his livelihood. He makes his living by pushing special interests’ agendas in Missouri while posing as a conservative leader in our state.
Yet, he makes practice of attacking the grassroots on social media if they speak out against Government School Choice.
Tim Jones spent 8 years in the Missouri House, three in leadership. So, when he says:
“Government funded public schools have been pushing/promoting a Globalist/Marxist, divisive, racist agenda for decades…”
We say this:
As LEADERSHIP in the Missouri House for three years, Tim Jones, had the power and the stage to make significant strides in leading the way in reigning in DESE and doing something meaningful to stop the “Government funded public schools” (his words) from going woke. Some of us were there, and educating him in an attempt for him to aide us in stopping the Common Core Initiative and all that was on the horizon. Why did he do nothing when he had the power?
Maybe because one of his largest political donors was dropping big money to Tim while the public could actually see it by way of his MEC Reports:

EXAMPLE OF THIS: IN ANDREW KOENIG’S SCHOOL CHOICE BILL SB 727 THE DEPARTMENT (DESE) IS MENTIONED 15 TIMES IN THIS BILL. DESE IS GIVEN A GREEN LIGHT OVERSEEING AND PROMULGATING RULES FOR KOENIG’S VERSION OF SCHOOL CHOICE. (“THE DEPARTMENT” IS IN EVERY SINGLE “GOVERNMENT SCHOOL CHOICE” BILL NUMEROUS TIMES.). WHY NOT REIN IN DESE RATHER THAN CONTINUE TO EXPAND THEIR AUTHORITY?
CAN SOMEONE ASK TIM JONES EXACTLY HOW THIS IS (in his words) HELPS STOP “THE GOVERNMENT FUNDED PUBLIC SCHOOLS FROM PUSHING THEIR AGENDA?”
IT DOESN’T. TIM JONES DOES NOT CARE ABOUT MISSOURI’S KIDS. HE CARES ABOUT A BIG AGENDA WITH FAT PAYCHECKS.
Can someone tell Tim Jones that CHARTER SCHOOLS are “GOVERNMENT FUNDED PUBLIC SCHOOLS THAT PROMOTE A GLOBALIST, MARXIST, DIVISIVE, RACIST AGENDA” that will be ran by DESE if any of the current “government school choice” bills get passed?
This is no solution. It only makes the problem far worse.
