This bill is NOT about protecting the waters of Missouri or it would ban an export of water being shipped across state lines. Is that happening now? Good question.
This is about how to make LEGAL shipping or piping Missouri’s most precious resource across state lines. AGAIN…if this were about protection this bill would ban any exporting of Missouri’s water. IT DOES NOT DO THAT. It would, at a minimum, make it illegal to transport Missouri’s water across state lines for profit. THIS BILL DOES NOT DO THAT.
Does tha ROY BLUNT RESERVOIR have anything to do with this bill? Maybe not, but it was interesting that a lobbyist addressed the Blunt Reservoir in the hearing. Do your research and be your own judge.
