We are closely watching the bill that is making its way across the country in states legislatures via model legislation. What will Missouri do to protect the citizens of our state?
It takes money to get elected and with the GOP vetting candidates so big businesses are protected, it is unlikely citizens will be able to stop these bad bills. My senator is a good guy and my rep was installed thanks to the last redistricting.
Citizens that work for a paycheck cannot afford to camp out in Jeff. City during legislative sessions and only those that own a business can afford to be gone that long, so those are the people that run for office and write laws that protect their and other's businesses. It seems there is no way around this.
Augh....will this type of betrayal of the people ever stop? I am so grateful for your work and will pray that these exposures will lead to accountability and changes. This is so disappointing.
