Why not use reciprocal agreements rather than Compacts?
Many are offering conjecture that requirements for testing to join a compact will make current legislators and their friends rich if these compacts pass.
Compacts that are being heard in committees right now are being left wide open with ZERO guardrails. Why?

The compact bill Lisa is talking about above was voted out of committee with unanimous consent (SEE BELOW) even though the bill sponsor in the committee admitted that he was confused by Compacts (Watch video above), and clearly most reps were, as well. YET…they all voted FOR IT.
This is what is wrong in our state right now. Rather than first doing no harm…they listen to lobbyists and those who have a financial interest in this bill passing rather than those who will have to abide by the laws they pass without understanding them. These men and women are doing harm to the people of Missouri by being so cavalier with the duty they have been entrusted to.
WHY do we need so many compacts for the first time in history?
What will the requirements be to join the compacts? We do not know, yet. These reps do not either. These bills are like writing a blank check to a commission to write the rules and requirements after this bill becomes law.
