KEHOE'S BAIT AND SWITCH ON "GETTING RID OF YOUR INCOME TAXES"...BEWARE! TO BE SWITCHED BY WHAT AND BY HOW MUCH? KEHOE IS NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY.

LT. GOVERNOR WANTS TO RID THE SENATE OF "DYSFUNCTION". WHY DOES HE NOT HELP GET VIDEO OF THE SENATE FLOOR DEBATES AND COMMITTEE HEARINGS? WHY DOES HE NOT ENCOURAGE TRUE TRANSPARENCY IN MO SENATE?

Show notes:

GOVERNOR KEHOE WANTS TO ELIMINATE INCOME TAXES IN MO, ONLY TO REPLACE THAT TAX WITH A TAX ON SERVICES. THIS IS ESTIMATED TO INCREASE THE MIDDLE CLASSES TAXES BY THREE TIMES WHAT THEY ARE NOW. WHY IS KEHOE BEING SO VAGUE ABOUT THE ELIMINATION OF THE INCOME TAX? BECAUSE HE DOES NOT WANT TO TELL YOU THE WHOLE TRUTH OF HIS PLAN.

MISSOURI NEEDS TO CUT OUR BUDGET AND STOP INCREASING TAXES ON THE PEOPLE OF OUR STATE.

HISTORY:

IN 2016 MISSOURI VOTERS RESOUNDINGLY REJECTED A USE TAX ON SERVICES. READ ABOUT THAT BELOW. KEHOE IS NOW TRYING TO AMEND OUR CONSTITUTION TO UNDO THIS PROTECTION TO MISSOURI WITH HIS NEW PLAN THAT PROMISES TO COST MIDDLE CLASS MISSOURI GREATLY.

In the diagram below you will see overwhelmingly every county in Missouri defeating a use/sales tax on services except for St. Louis and Columbia.

LT. GOVERNOR WASSINGER AND HIS INTERPRETATION OF “DYSFUNCTION” IN THE MO SENATE:

NOTE: The Lt. Governor in Missouri is considered the president of the senate.

He likes to flex at times. He did so recently when referencing the dysfunction of the senate. We agree it is bad. However, we do not think we are necessarily speaking about the same thing.

One clear point of dysfunction is the FACT that Missouri is one of ONLY two states NOT to use video of the senate floor debates or house committee hearings. WHY? WHY NO TRANSPARENCY?

Dear Lt. Governor Wassinger,

FIX THIS. This is your job to drive good rules in order to keep the voters of Missouri in the loop and give us a seat at the table. WHY do we not have video in the Missouri senate?

FIX THIS.

Wassinger’s office # is Phone: 573.751.4727

Call and ask him why we are one of only TWO states in our country not to video our senate proceedings. EMBARRASSING.

Many people have called, and his office says they are waiting on Mike Moon.

THAT IS A WEAK RESPONSE. MIKE MOON HAS FILED A BILL THAT WOULD CHANGE THE RULES ON ADOPTION TO INCLUDE VIDEO IN THE SENATE.

BUT, GUESS WHAT? That bill has been referred to the committee where leadership of the senate sits. The bill was filed last year. IT WAS TOTALLY IGNORED.

WHY?

Look no further than here: You see the problem, right? The first three people (Republicans) do not want transparency. THEY are our issues and certainly create the dysfunction that Wassinger refers to.

Maybe Lt. Governor Wassinger needs to encourage this committee to hear that bill. Maybe that would help. If they voted it out of committee, then it would go to the senate floor for a vote. THEN, we would know who wants to hide from the public and who believes in true transparency.

This would be a great start to ending so much “dysfunction”. Can someone tell Lt. Governor, David Wassinger that since he is newish to politics?

MIKE MOON’S RULE CHANGE THAT CANNOT GET A HEARING IN THE MISSOURI SENATE. COULD THAT BE BECAUSE OF THE COMMITTEE WHERE HIS BILL HAS BEEN REFERRED?

Clearly leadership does NOT want to be transparent and accountable to the tax payers of Missouri.

The bill language is below:

The above will show you every state in the country and whether they offer video streaming of their senate proceedings. ONLY TWO DO NOT. Missouri and North Carolina. What a HUGE embarrassment. j

Lt. Governor Wassinger, fix this. This is on your shoulders as the president of the senate. The state is watching. What will you do about this?

TAX HEARING ON BILL ABOUT REAL ESTATE TAX INCREASES IN MO:

This is the House group of reps who traveled across Missouri and “listened” to the desires of the people. The bill they heard in this hearing was to increase Missouri’s assessments on real estate up to 15% per year with the use of AI and computer generated models of value. WHY ARE THEY SO TONE DEAF? Listen to Lisa scold the committee for how two faced they have been to the people of Missouri. Click photo to listen.

SCROFF TO : Jan 13th Special Committee on Property Tax Reform

House Hearing Room 3

Here is the bill they are referring to: CHAD PERKINS SPONSOR

Allows STC to force the assessment increase of 15% per year.

Now the assessment of property is only every two years. This bill creates an avenue to reassess every year with a 15% per year increase allowed at the forced compliance being granted to the STC over elected assessors.

Click the bill to read below:

FIVE COUNTIES CURRENTLY SUING THE STC. IF THESE BILLS GIVING THE STC FULL AUTHORITY OVER OUR ELECTED ASSESSORS BECOME LAW, THESE LAWSUITS WILL LIKELY BE THROWN OUT. THIS IS WHY THEY ARE SO DESPERATE TO UNDERMINE OUR ELECTED ASSESSORS WITH LEGISLATION.

COMPACTS: UNCONSTITUTIONAL

Here is what the Constitution says:

HERE IS THE BILL ABOUT THE COMPACT

HB 1961

Lisa’s testimony about the compact issue and how dangerous this is in creating a shadow government in our state. Compacts undermine the sovereignty of the state and are addressed in the Constitution.

Stay tuned. Stay engaged. This session has only just begun. Thank you for listening and engaging.
