The fish rots from the head. It's not being Republican or a principled conservative. It's about a person's price, leverage/weakness, and their vice (if different from their leverage). If the Senators and Reps follow the leader rather than their constituents it's an easy chain-gang to control. Add to that throwing a couple thousand dollars to a local clerk or their family and you can easy be a king maker.

This may have been in a previous SS and I just missed it, but I think everyone should know that the Jackson County Republican Central Committee does not believe its county or Missouri is getting a fair ROI on its Patterson investment. It formally stated their concerns in a Resolution of “Non-Support” of Patterson as Speaker of the House.

Read its November resolution here. https://rinowatch.com/missouri-rinos-hold-secret-meeting-conceive-plan-placing/

I moved from Belton, MO to Salem, OR in 2007 and move back in 2017 to Freeman. In 2022, I joined JBS and in Jan this year, JBS sent me my first Shield's Substack. Since 2017 the state has had a GOP trifecta, but reality has not reflected that fact. The budget is out of control, abortion splashed back into existence and the school system is a mess. Yes, WE CAN DO BETTER MISSOURI, much better if people wake up. Can't imagine what it would be like if terms limits did not exist. I'm still livid over the redistricting giving the Ds another US House seat and me a loser State Rep.

Same. My wife was so frustrated with our puppet of a rep she ran and was literally told by MoGOP that "it wasn't her turn, and she should let him term out."

It's not about GOP or conservative values. It's about money and control. Thus you get Democrat light.

Who made the Republican party heads in MO the candidate vet agency? Is it legal for that crew to keep people from filing and getting on the ballot? Sounds like a mafia.

Many local committees have attempted the vetting already. Should come as little surprise since the free meal is threatened.

I believe they are using vetting to suppress candidates they don’t like. Who is in charge of vetting? Who tallies up the scores and presents them? How are the vetting surveys conducted? Where?

I have heard some crazy stories from the last year.

Our Central Committee vets candidates. The process is good. We just put on record the answers of those who want to run as a Republican. If they refuse to vet that tells us all we need to know. All candidates who vetted passed and ran for office where I live. However, I can see if the establishment was in control how they could use this to the detriment of the people who live in that county. This is why more people need to get involved. We need to continue to educate and grow our army.

I was wondering what their hook was. Dec.10th We The People of Cass Co sent out an email with a link to Republican Association of Central Committees of MO petitions. One was a requiring all GOP be vetted. It included a Resolution in Support of Justin Sparks for the next Speaker of the House which I signed. Here is the link. https://www.repaccmo.com/petitions

I think the intent of vetting is good, but if the Establishment takes control of the Central Committees (which they are trying to all over the state) it would be very bad.

That is the problem in my county.

When I lived in Salem, OR I was a member of AbigailAdamsProject.OR and we developed candidate questionnaires for use in primary elections. The ‘Q” and answers were displayed on our website. Included were the candidates that did not respond. Since I lived in Salem, I also worked our AAP booth at the state fair where we provided a large map of the state senate and house districts and free cards with the AAP website URL. Best to let the voters vet the candidates. We emailed all the different conservative organizations so they could email the AAP website to their members. When I moved here in 2017 I searched for a MO AAP but could not find one.
